Privacy policy

This page explains which personal data this website processes, why, for how long, and how you can exercise your rights.

1. Data controller

The data controller is Selena Toska, based in Florence, Italy. For any request, write to info@selenas.it.

2. Data we process

The website has no registration or purchase forms. The data processed are these:

  • Data you send me. If you write to my email address, I process your name, your email address and the content of your message, so that I can reply.
  • Browsing data. The website is hosted on GitHub Pages. When you visit a page, GitHub technically records some data, such as IP address, date and time, pages requested and browser type. I do not look at these logs: GitHub processes them as the hosting provider.
  • Chosen language. Your choice between Italian and English is saved in your browser. It is not sent to any server and it does not identify you.

3. Cookies and tracking tools

The website uses no profiling cookies, no third-party cookies and no analytics tools such as Google Analytics, so it shows no cookie banner. Fonts, images and files are served by the website itself. Instagram and LinkedIn are external links: if you open them, their privacy policies apply.

4. Why we process data and for how long

The emails I receive are used only to reply to your request, for example a collaboration or an appointment. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. I keep them for as long as needed to handle the request, then delete them.

Browsing data is needed for the website to work and to stay secure. The legal basis is legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

5. Who receives the data

I do not sell or share your data. I rely on external providers: GitHub, for hosting the website, and the email service that runs the info@selenas.it mailbox. GitHub is based in the United States: transfers of data take place under the safeguards provided by the company, described in its privacy statement.

6. Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, their correction or deletion, restriction or objection to processing, and data portability. Write to info@selenas.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

7. Changes

This policy may be updated. The version in force is the one published here. Last updated: 26 October 2026.
